    New drop-in sports schedule effective January 3, 2023. See schedule for more details.

    SBCC offers a wide variety of drop-in sports for all ages. Masks are optional. Play passes are now available for purchase! We ask that all participants bring their own equipment and check-in at the front desk before participating in the activity.

    Family drop-in activities are an opportunity for families with children under the age of 18 to play together. At least one parent/guardian/caregiver of the same household must be participating on the court with children at all times. No drop-offs or team practices are allowed.

    All Adult Drop-In Sports

    • Bellevue Residents- $4
    • Non-Residents- $5

    All Family Sports-FREE

    • Family drop-in activities are an opportunity for families with children under the age of 18 to play together. At least one parent/guardian/caregiver of the same household must be participating on the court with children at all times. No drop-offs or team practices are allowed.

    Badminton

    The following Badminton programs are currently available:

    • Adult Badminton (ages 18+): $4 (R), $5 (NR). 
      • Mondays:
        • 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. (max. capacity: 24)
        • 6 p.m.-8 p.m. (max. capacity 36)
      • Wednesdays: 
        • 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. (max. capacity: 24)
        • 6 p.m.-8 p.m. (max. capacity: 24)

    Basketball

    The following Basketball drop-in programs are currently available:

    • Adult Basketball (ages 18+): $4 (R), $5 (NR).  
        • Wednesdays and Fridays: 6 a.m.-8 a.m. (max. capacity: 20)
        • Thursdays: 6 p.m.-8 p.m. (max. capacity: 20)
        • Saturdays: 8 a.m.-10 a.m. (max. capacity: 40)
      • Family Basketball (families with children under the age of 18): FREE.  
          • Saturdays: 10 a.m.-noon
          • Family drop-in activities are an opportunity for families with children under the age of 18 to play together. At least one parent/guardian/caregiver of the same household must be participating on the court with children at all times. No drop-offs or team practices are allowed.

        Pickleball

        The following Pickleball programs are currently available: 

        • Adult Pickleball (ages 18+):  $4 (R), $5 (NR). 
          • Mondays: 6 a.m.-8 a.m. (max. capacity: 24)
          • Tuesdays & Thursdays: 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. (max. capacity: 36)
          • Thursdays: 3 p.m.-5 p.m.  (max. capacity: 24)                                                                                                                      
        • Pickleball Skills and Drills Clinic: pre-registration  strongly encouraged
          • Tuesdays: 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m.
        • Adult Beginner Pickleball Class: pre-registration required
          • Thursdays: 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m.                                                                                                       

        Volleyball

        The following Volleyball programs are currently available:

        • Adult Volleyball (ages 18+): $4 (R), $5 (NR).  
            • Tuesdays & Thursdays: 6 a.m.-8 a.m. (max. capacity: 28)
            • Fridays: 4 p.m.-6 p.m. (max. capacity: 28)

          FAQs

          Is equipment provided?

          • Sometimes! 
            • Nets and poles are provided when applicable.
            • SBCC has a limited supply of basketballs, pickleball rackets, and pickleballs that can be loaned out at no cost to the participant. It is recommended that you bring your own supplies.

          Can children come?

          • Persons under 18 years of age are only permitted at designated family programs. 
          • Please note that family drop-in activities are an opportunity for families with children under the age of 18 to play together. At least one parent/guardian/caregiver of the same household must be participating on the court with children at all times. No drop-offs or team practices are allowed.

          Can two adults come to a family program if they are related?

          • If it is just the two adults playing, they would need to come to one of the “Adult Drop-In” programs instead. 
          • Family drop-in activities are an opportunity for families with children under the age of 18 to play together. At least one parent/guardian/caregiver of the same household must be participating on the court with children at all times. No drop-offs or team practices are allowed.

          How many people do you let into each program?

          • Each program has a different maximum capacity depending on the time/day and how much space there is available in the gym(s) that day. Please refer to the schedule linked on the main “Drop-in Sports” page for that number. 
          • Keep in mind that capacities change frequently and occasionally without warning. SBCC staff do their best to inform participants ahead of time when possible. 

          Can I reserve a spot for myself and/or a friend?

          • Reservations, saving spots and/or signing in for another participant is not allowed. All Drop-In Sports times are strictly drop-in only. 

          Can I coach my player at a drop-in and/or family sport?

          • No. As a publicly owned facility, South Bellevue Community Center cannot allow coaching of any kind at any of the Adult and/or Family Drop-In Sports Programs.

          How does the sign-in process work?

          • All participants are required to check in at the Front Desk on the second level prior to playing. First, everyone signs the waiver on the clipboard and receives a wristband. If you are paying by cash or credit/debit card, you will move to the payment line to your right afterwards. If you have a COB Play Pass, ePass or Annual Pass; you can scan your card at the scan station then go directly downstairs.
