The City of Bellevue contracts with Republic Services for garbage and recycling services. Republic Services collects on all holidays except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. Single-family Customers: Seal uncontaminated oil (no large solids) in clean, clear, screw-top plastic jugs. Label jugs with name and address and place next to recycling container.
Multifamily Apartment/Condo Customers: Use same preparation as single-family customers, but must call Republic Services (425-646-2492) to request pick-up or use Republic Services Drop-off Center at 1600 127th Ave NE, Bellevue WA 98005.Limit 3 gallons per drop-off or pick-up, and 10 gallons per year.
Fluorescent Tubes and Bulbs
Single-family Customers: Wrap tubes in newspaper and secure with tape. Place bulbs in a sealed bag. Place next to recycling container. Mark "Fluorescent Tubes."
Multifamily Apartment/Condo Customers: See Recycle More webpage for drop-off options.
Limit: 2 tubes/bulbs per collection.
Limit: 10 tubes/bulbs per year. Tubes must be no longer than 4 ft.No incandescent, halogen, or LED bulbs.
Single-family Customers: Place rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries in separate, clear, sealed bags. Set on top of recycling container.Multifamily Apartment/Condo Customers: Same preparation as single-family customers, but must call Republic Services (425-646-2492) to request pick-up.
Paper Containers and Poly-coated Cartons/Boxes
Empty paper cups used for soda or coffee, and empty paper food cartons used for milk, juice, soy, or soup.
Plastic-coated cartons, beverage cups, and boxes.
Plastic Containers (Cups, Tubs, Bottles, Jugs, and Lids)
Cups, tubs, bottles and jugs. Plastic lids 3” or larger. Includes plastic drink cups and bottles, clamshell takeout containers, food containers and trays, non-prescription drug bottles, and plant pots.
Please empty and rinse containers.
Plastic – Rigid
Rigid plastic items smaller than 2 ft.Call Republic Services (425-646-2492) to schedule pickup of larger items bigger than 2 ft. such as 5-gal buckets, laundry baskets, plastic lawn furniture, coolers, Big Wheels, etc. or use Republic Services Drop-off Center at 1600 127th Ave NE, Bellevue WA 98005.
